The 8th Annual Hosting Summit 2026 was successfully held in Nikunja, Dhaka, with the aim of addressing the evolving challenges of the hosting industry in the era of the Fifth Industrial Revolution. The summit was organized by Alpha Net and brought together key stakeholders from the country’s web hosting, technology, and digital infrastructure sectors.

Senior representatives from leading web hosting companies, along with delegates from both public and private sectors, participated in the event. Officials from Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL), BASIS, e-CAB, and the Cyber Crime Unit of the police were also present, alongside executives from nearly 30 top hosting companies across Bangladesh.

Abu Sufian Haider attended the summit as the Keynote Speaker. During his session, he addressed the major challenges facing the hosting industry, future-ready infrastructure development, cybersecurity concerns, and practical solutions for sustainable growth. His discussion highlighted global trends and the steps required for local hosting providers to compete in international markets.

The Chief Guest of the summit was Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Head of the Cyber Security and Forensic Computing Department at the College of Computer and Cyber Sciences, Prince Mugrin University, Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the importance of cybersecurity, innovation, and resilience in building a strong digital ecosystem.

Speakers and participants highlighted the need for modern infrastructure, increased adoption of artificial intelligence, skilled workforce development, and stronger public-private collaboration. Discussions also focused on the potential of Bangladesh’s hosting industry and its role in strengthening the national digital economy.
