Career Development Program 2026 at Dhaka International University
A free career seminar titled “Design Your Career”, organized by Alpha Net, was successfully conducted at Dhaka International University (DIU) on Wednesday, 7 January at 10:00 AM on the university campus.
The core objective of the seminar was to guide students beyond short-term job preparation and provide practical direction for building structured, long-term careers. The session focused on three essential areas: Career Development, Entrepreneurship, and Business Development.
The seminar was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. A.T.M. Mahabubur Rahman, Treasurer of Dhaka International University and Dean of the Faculty of Science & Engineering, as the Chief Guest.
The program was chaired by Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Based, Professor and Acting Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Dhaka International University.
The Keynote Address was delivered by Abu Sufian Haider, who shared real-world experiences and practical insights on career growth, professional discipline, and personal development based on industry and leadership exposure.
Career Development: Preparing for professional life after graduation, setting early career priorities, demonstrating competence through performance, and building skills for sustainable career advancement.
Entrepreneurship: Developing entrepreneurial confidence, identifying problems and opportunities, transforming ideas into action, and understanding when and how to initiate a personal venture or business.
Business Development: Gradual growth within professional roles or businesses, effective decision-making, opportunity identification, and cultivating an intrapreneurial mindset within organizations.
A significant number of students actively participated throughout the session through discussions and interactive exchanges. The seminar was open and free of charge, and digital certificates were awarded to all participating students.
The university authorities and organizers expressed confidence that such initiatives would help students gain clarity about their career direction and transition more confidently into real-world professional environments. Similar programs are planned for the future.
